Charlottetown’s Spencer Pitre rink, which includes Connor MacPhee, Matthew Nabuurs, and Eric Pidgeon, with coach Peter Pidgeon, won all three section finals in the triple-knockout Pepsi Bottling Group junior men’s curling championship in Montague, to advance directly to the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors, January 29-February 5 in Calgary Alberta, without the need for the two game championship round. They won the A final on Monday, 9-4 over Samuel Ramsay and his combined Charlottetown/Montague/Silver Fox team, and beat Cornwall’s Jeffrey Taylor foursome in the B and C finals on Tuesday, both by 8-2 scores.
