At the Scotties banquet this evening at the Delta Prince Edward, Manitoba skip Cathy Overton-Clapham was awarded the Marj Mitchell Sportsmanship award, as voted on by the players. “Cathy O”, who was fired from Team Canada at the end of last season, entered her own team in this year’s Scotties provincials, won the Manitoba championship, and went on to beat her former teammates in their round robin encounter this week. She received a standing ovation this evening when she was presented with her award.
