PEI’s Brett Gallant rink, which includes last year’s Labatt Tankard-winning skip Eddie MacKenzie at third, along with Gallant’s long-time teammates Anson Carmody and Alex MacFadyen at second and lead respectively, are competing in the $56,500 “Casino du Lac Leamy de Gatineau” Challenge Spiel this weekend at the Robert Rochon Sports Centre and the Buckingham Curling Club in the Gatineau Quebec area. The Brad Gushue rink from St. John’s, which includes Brett’s old teammate Adam Casey, is also competing. Play gets underway Thursday at 10 am Atlantic, with the finals Sunday afternoon at 3:30 ADT.
