Cornwall Curling Club opens Nov. 9

Following some equipment delivery and construction delays, the Cornwall Curling Club, sporting a brand new clubhouse and a new state of the art ice plant will open with the 10 am draw on Wednesday November 9th. The finishing touches are being put on the ice over the weekend, and the clubhouse, although not completely finished, is being readied for occupancy. The new clubhouse has a much more open concept than the previous one, and includes features such as larger game viewing windows, and complete wheelchair accessibility right to the ice level. Although washrooms and other essential facilities will be available on opening day, some areas will be closed to the public until the clubhouse building is fully finished.

The revamped facility will be showcased at two major events in January – the Atlantic University Curling Championships from January 13-15, and the Labatt Tankard provincial men’s curling championship, from January 26-31.
