PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink are playing in the Sun Life Financial Curling Classic this weekend in Brantford Ontario, with an $11,000 top prize up for grabs on both the men’s and women’s sides of this World Curling Tour event. Defending champions are Jennifer Jones and Mike McEwen.
The PEI rink lost their opener, 11-3 to Ontario’s Julie Hastings foursome this afternoon, with Hastings grabbing a big lead early with a triple in the opening end, and a stolen deuce in the seccond.
