Alex Matters to play Sam Ramsay for Pepsi Jr. Men’s title

The best-of-three Pepsi Jr. Men’s final begins at 2:30 this afternoon, and continues on Monday at 10 am and, if necessary, 2:30 pm at the Charlottetown Curling Club. The Sam Ramsay rink from the host club were awarded first place in the round robin, and advanced on Friday night.

The Alex Matters foursome, also from Charlottetown, are the other finalists, after beating O’Leary’s Matthew MacLean foursome 12-5 this morning, aided by a steal of three in the second end, and a four point fifth end. All three teams finished the round robin with 4-1 win-loss records.

The junior men’s and women’s champions will advance to the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors, February 4-12, 2012, in Napanee Ontario.
