PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink defeated the SilvanTirinzoni team of Switzerland 8-6 this afternoon in the bronze medal game to finish in third place at the International Bernese Ladies Cup in Bern Switzerland. Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg lost 5-3 to another Swiss rink, skipped by Michelle Jaeggi in the gold medal game to finish in second spot.

The consolation final was won by Scotland’s Sarah Reid, who edged Manitoba’s Chelsea Carey 4-3.
