The Canadian College Invitational Curling Championships, hosted by Fleming College, and taking place at the Peterborough Curling Club, got underway yesterday, and wrap up on Saturday. Holland College, represented by the men’s team of Christian Tolusso (skip), Alex Sutherland (3rd), Taylor McInnis (2nd), Patrick Moore (lead), Angela Hodgson (coach)  were 1-1 after opening day play, and downed St. Clair 12-2 on Thursday morning, lost 8-2 to Red Deer in the noon draw, and won 7-6 over Sault College later in the afternoon, taking a deuce in the final end to grab the win, and finish the day at 3-2..

The PEI rink plays Fanshawe and University of Alberta Augustana campus on Friday. Eight men’s and eight women’s rinks are competing, from Ontario, Alberta, and PEI, with the finals going Saturday afternoon.

The college curling championships have been brought back this year after a break of close to 20 years.
