Strong finish at season-ending Players’ Ch’ship next month in Summerside would nail Trials berth for Nedohin (Postmedia)

In addition to the world championship bronze medal, Sunday’s victory also put the Heather Nedohin team in the all-important second spot on the Canadian Team Ranking System behind only Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg. Because Jones has already qualified for the 2013 Tim Hortons Olympic Trials, the second-place finisher this season will get a Trials berth, and Nedohin can nail it down with a solid finish at the season-ending Players’ Championships in Summerside, P.E.I., next month.
