TORONTO – John Epping says his Toronto-area rink can’t wait to face the stiff competition that awaits in the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship.

“We’re really looking forward to it,” said Epping, 28. “We’re happy to be part of the event.

“We obviously just snuck in in the eighth spot. The field is tremendous. It’s not many chances you get to play in a field with the other top seven teams in the world.”

Epping, who has curled for 22 years and is employed as a medical sales consultant, is hoping his rink can slide under the radar in Summerside during the April 17th-to-22nd event.
