BLAIR ATHOLL, Scotland – Canada’s smallest province will be the latest stop in Eve Muirhead’s pursuit of her second Olympic curling berth.
Muirhead will be skipping her Scotland rink in the Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship in Summerside from April 17 to 22.

“My big picture is looking forward to the Olympic Games in 2014, and every event leading up to then and selection is a stepping stone.”
Although she does not turn 22-years-old until April 22, Muirhead has already compiled an impressive resumé on the international curling scene. She is a four-time world junior women’s champion. She played third stone for Sarah Reid in 2007, and skipped her own rink to the 2008, 2009 and 2011 world titles.
Muirhead said she always jumps at opportunities to compete in Canada because of the competition and ice conditions. She says she can’t wait to visit P.E.I.
“Everyone I’ve spoken to has told me how beautiful it (P.E.I.) is, and once I’m there I won’t want to come home,” said Muirhead. “I just wish I had some time to golf.
