Brett Gallant’s curling future is taking him to the Rock.

The Charlottetown resident will be moving to St. John’s this summer to play with the Brad Gushue rink. The decision came after the 22 year old played second with the Newfoundland and Labrador rink at last week’s Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship in Summerside.

Brett Gallant has joined the Brad Gushu rink for the 2012-13 curling season.

“It’s exciting for me. It’s a good opportunity to enter some of the bigger tournaments,” Gallant said Monday.

The spot opened up after Team Gushue and third Ryan Fry recently parted ways.

The move will reunite Gallant with one of his former junior teammates Adam Casey, of Seven Mile Bay, who played this season with the Gushue rink.
