Schut and Corkum rinks undefeated after KFC U13 Opening Day play

After opening day at the KFC Provincial Under 13 Curling Championships at the Crapaud Community Curling Club.  Cornwall’s Mitchell Schut rink leads the three team boys division with a 1-0 win-loss record, following a 6-5 win over the Connor Lilly team from the Silver Fox. Lilly is at 1-1, defeating Charlottetown’s Carson Savidant team 11-1 in his other game, while Savidant is 0-1.

Teghan Corkum and her Silver Fox rink lead the 5 team girl’s section, with a 2-0 record, following wins over Katie Worth and Kristie Rogers, both from Cornwall. Worth, and Bridget Patterson from the Silver Fox are at 1-1, while Rogers, and Breanna Raynor from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary are 0-1.

Round robin play continues Saturday at 10 am and 2 and 6 pm, and wraps up with the 10 am Sunday draw.  The girl’s semi-final and a possible boy’s tiebreaker are scheduled for Sunday at 2, with the finals at 6 pm.
