Alberta’s Debbie Santos will go on to play Nova Scotia’s Colleen Pinkney in the women’s final at the Canadian Senior Curling Championship in Summerside.

Santos advanced to the final after beating Manitoba’s Lois Fowler 10-4 in Saturday afternoon’s semifinal match.

Santos and her team of Jackie Rae Greening, Diana Backer and Glenna Rubin got off to a quick start, scoring one in the first and then stealing three in the third.

“We played well and put some pressure on early,” Santos said. “I thought the ice was tricky, and we caught on to the tricky spots and took advantage on a few rolls.”

The women’s championship game will get underway 11 a.m. on Sunday at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.
