The City of Summerside PEI, who hosted last year’s edition of The Players’ Championship Grand Slam of Curling event, have announced that they will be making a “BIG announcement” for Credit Union Place and the City, live from Toronto. The announcement was to have taken place at 5:45 p.m., local time, but has now been moved to 10 pm. on Rogers Sportsnet Television.
There is speculation that the announcement will be for another curling event to be held at Credit Union Place. It was reported last year that Grand Slam organizers were impressed with both the Credit Union Place venue, and the fan support for the event.
