The Cornwall Curling Club wiill be hosting the Maritime Masters Curling Championships, from March 14-17 2014 (The 17th is an “overflow” day and may not be needed, depending on number of entries and schedule). The top age 60 and over winner and runner-up teams from the provincial Masters championships of the three Maritime Provinces are eligible to compete in this annual championship, which rotates between the three provinces. There is a men’s and a women’s championship. All games are eight ends.

The 2013 event was held at the Capital Winter Club.in Fredericton, NB.
The Womens winner was the New Brunswick runner-up team from the host club, with skip Isabel Yeaman, third Helen MacDonald, second Joan Whitehead and lead Toni O’Brien.
The runner-up team was from this year’s hosts, the Cornwall Curling Club, skipped by Carol Sweetapple, with Danielle Girard at 3rd, second Carlene Peters and lead Bernie Field. They were the PEI Masters women’s runners-up.

The men’s winner was also the New Brunswick runner-up rink, also from the host Capital Winter Club, skipped by Dave Sullivan. The PEI Masters champions, the Mel Bernard rink from the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside were the men’s runners-up. Other members of the team were third Ted MacFadyen (substituting for Blair Jay), second Lou Nowlan, and lead Earle Proude.
