The 7th Annual Junior Fall Fling cash spiel is set to go November 15 through 17 at the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside.
This year’s event will see 12 junior men’s and an equal number of junior women’s teams from around the Maritimes play a 5 game round robin on Friday and Saturday. The semi-finals and finals take place on Sunday.
The Veronica Smith team from Cornwall won the women’s event last year, and will be back this year to try for a repeat win. Last year’s men’s skip, Chris Gallant, is now attending university and curling in Winnipeg, and won’t be attending.
The public is invited to the Fox to witness a weekend of great curling.
Friday Nov. 15 draws are at 1, 3:30, 6, and 8:30 pm. Saturday games are at 8 and 10:30 am, 12 noon, and 3:30, 6, and 8:30 pm.
The semis go Sunday at 9 am, with the finals at 1 pm.
All draws on Friday and Saturday are 8 ends, while the Sunday semis and finals are 10 ends.
