The Tyler Smith rink lost their opener last night against Team Alberta, after fighting back from a 5-1 deficit after three ends, to tie the game 5-5 coming home.
With steals of 1 in the 4th, 5th, 6th & 9th ends (7th & 8th were blanked), the score was tied 5-5 after the 9th end with Alberta having the hammer coming home.
With both teams trying to set themselves up to earn one point, it came down to the Alberta skip hitting and sticking on his final shot to score three giving them an 8-5 win.
Next up for Team PEI Men is team Nova Scotia who they play at 2 pm PEI time Monday.
