(TSN media release) TSN confirmed today it will leverage its five national feeds to deliver multi-sheet coverage of the Tim Hortons Brier, marking the first time in network history that fans can choose between two different feature draws taking place at the same time.
TSN will have two crews on location in Calgary to broadcast the two different feature draws throughout the preliminary round’s afternoon and prime-time competitions. TSN’s exclusive live coverage of the Tim Hortons Brier begins Saturday at 4:30pm AT.
With its multi-sheet coverage, TSN will deliver 100+ hours of live Tim Hortons Brier coverage across its five national feeds – 50% more than last year. TSN subscribers can also live stream the network’s coverage via TSN GO and online at TSN.ca.
“Our strategy with TSN’s expanded national feeds has always been to give our subscribers more choice when it comes to accessing the most extensive selection of live championship events on television,” said Shawn Redmond, Vice-President of Programming and Marketing, TSN. “We’re ecstatic to be able to add multiple sheets to our Tim Hortons Brier coverage – it’s a huge win for curling fans who want to see more of the sport’s biggest events.”
TSN’s expanded multi-sheet coverage of the Tim Hortons Brier comes on the heels of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts that attracted a record television audience.
Broadcast Team
TSN also announced today that four-time Brier champion and three-time world champion David Nedohin will join TSN’s acclaimed broadcast team as a guest analyst in Calgary. Nedohin, whose career highlights also include three Canada Cup championships and a TSN skins game victory, delivers analysis alongside play-by-play announcer Bryan Mudryk throughout the network’s expanded afternoon and prime-time draw coverage.
