PEI’s Team Casey beats Team Canada at the Brier (Journal)

CALGARY – It was a weekend of nail-biting games for P.E.I.’s Adam Casey rink.

Casey, third stone Josh Barry, second stone Anson Carmody and lead Robbie Doherty played three close games, including one just to qualify for the main draw of the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier.

Casey defeated Team Canada’s John Morris 7-4 in Sunday afternoon’s draw, and took a 1-1 (won-lost) record into the evening late draw against British Columbia’s Jim Cotter.

P.E.I.’s lone game Monday is against Quebec’s Jean-Michel Menard at 4:30 p.m., Atlantic Time.
