MacDonald gets second win at Canadian Seniors (Journal)

EDMONTON – P.E.I.’s Rod MacDonald rink evened their record at the 2015 Canadian senior curling championships on Monday.

MacDonald jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one end, and never looked back in a 6-3 victory over Nunavut’s Ed Sattelberger. P.E.I. took a 2-2 (won-lost) record into Monday evening’s late game against Ontario’s Jeff McGrady.

In women’s play, P.E.I.’s Shirley Berry rink dropped a 6-3 decision to Alberta’s Terri Loblaw, who counted single points in the first three ends and counted a triple in the sixth end.

Berry, third stone Sandy Hope, second stone Shelley Ebbett and lead Arleen Harris are now 1-3.
