Casey rink adds new third for 2015-16 season (Journal)

The Adam Casey rink has made a roster move.

David Mathers is moving to Prince Edward Island in May and will join the Island rink after playing for Mark Kean in Ontario.

David Mathers, left, and Scott Howard sweep the game-winning shot by skip John Epping in the 2012 Players Championship at Eastlink Arena in Summerside.

“We’re really excited to get him on-board for next season,” Casey said.

Mathers, who played second stone with Kean, will play third with Team Casey.

“It will be a new challenge for him, but I think he will take it on quite naturally,” said Casey.

Summerside native Anson Carmody and Robbie Doherty of Charlottetown will be back at second and lead, respectively, for the 2015-16 season while Josh Barry will not return.
