The Page playoff round is underway at the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship in Valleyfield and Huntington Quebec. PEI, represented by the Summerside Fire Department, finished round robin play with a 6-4 win-loss record, and grabbed the final playoff spot in the Page Playoff round, currently underway. PEI had to win two tiebreakers today to advance, beating Northern Ontario 7-5, and Southern Ontario 8-7.
Alberta are leading Manitoba 6-3 after 4 ends in the Page 1 vs 2 game, while BC and PEI are tied 2-2 after 5 in the Page 3 vs 4 game. The winner of the 1 vs 2 will go directly to the 2 pm Atlantic final on Saturday, while the loser will play the winner of the 3 vs 4 game in the semi-final at 10 am Atlantic on Saturday, with the winner going to the final.
