Pepsi Junior Curling’s “B” finals Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Tuesday morning’s women’s “B” final in the P.E.I. Provincial Pepsi modified triple knock-out Junior Curling Championships is a rematch of Monday’s “A” final.

The men’s and women’s championships, for the right to represent P.E.I. at the national junior championships in Stratford, Ontario Jan. 23 – 31, are being played at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton.

Defending women’s champion Katie Fullerton, who won Monday’s “A” event 8-6 over Cornwall’s Lauren Lenentine, will play Lenentine in the “B” final at 9 a.m.

Alex Gallant, lead on the Leslie Noye rink gets set to sweep Dylan Vincent’s rock during Monday action at the P.E.I. Provincial Pepsi junior curling championships. The Noye rink from the host Western Community Curling Club, started the day in the “A” final but lost it and two more to fall out of contention.

Alex MacFadyen’s Silver Fox/Charlottetown rink waits in the “C” section for the loser of Tuesday morning’s men’s “B” final between the Maple Leaf and Cornwall Clubs’ Matthew MacLean rink and the defending champion Tyler Smith rink from Crapaud and Montague.MacLean won the “A” final 7-2 over Western’s Leslie Noye Monday morning to park his game in the “B” final while Smith kept busy with wins of 10-6 over MacFadyen and 7-5 over Noye. Smith is now 2-1 and MacLean is 3-0.
