PEI Senior curling – women’s ch’ship could be decided today (Journal)

O’LEARY — The men’s title in the P.E.I. Credit Unions Senior Curling Championships will not be decided until Monday at O’Leary’s Maple Leaf Curling Club.

With Blair Weeks winning the “A” section of the modified triple knock-out men’s championship Saturday morning over defending champion Rod MacDonald, and MacDonald rebounding in the “B” section final Saturday evening over Blair Jay, there are no longer any undefeated men’s teams in the competition. That means the play-off round on Monday has been triggered.
That’s not necessarily the case in the four-team women’s championship where Charlottetown’s Kim Dolan has already won the “A” and “B” sections. She can take the provincial title with a win in Sunday’s 3 p.m. “C” section final.  She will face either club mate Shelley Ebbett or Montague’s Kathy Clarey who meet in a win-you’re-in-lose-you’re-out game Sunday at 11 a.m.
