Team UPEI slips to 1-2 at AUS Ch’ships

The UPEI Women’s  team, skipped by Veronica Smith, split their Friday games at the AUS Curling Championships in the Antigonish area, and now have one win against two losses. The top two women’s and men’s teams from the Atlantic championships advance to the CIS championships, hosted by the Kelowna Curling Club, March 20-23.

UPEI lost to Mount A 6-5 in their opener on Thursday, and then picked up a 6-3 win over St. Mary’s on Saturday morning, before losing 6-4 to Acadia in the evening draw. Acadia is 3-0 in their pool while the other three teams are at 1-2. Dal is 3-0 in the other pool, while UNB is 1-2. The playoffs are Sunday.
