Silver Fox Men, Western Women still unbeaten at the Travelers Curling Club Championship

Round robin play wraps up Sunday at the provincial Travelers Curling Club Championship, being played at the Cornwall Curling Club, with the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club men’s team, skipped by Barry Cameron, and the Western Community Curling Club women’s rink, captained by Sharon Horne, the only undefeated entries. The Maple Leaf (Bob Matheson) and Crapaud (Alan Inman) men’s foursomes, and the Charlottetown (Tammi Cudmore) and Crapaud (Julie Mutch) women’s squads have only one loss.

Sunday round robin draws go at 9, noon, 4 and 8 pm Atlantic Daylight Time. Following any tiebreakers, second and third place teams will then advance to their respective semi-finals, with the semi winners facing the first place teams in the men’s and women’s finals.  If a team goes through round robin play undefeated but loses the first final,  a second final will take place between that team and the winner of the first final.

The winning rinks will advance to the national Travelers Curling Club Championship, Nov. 20-26 at the Kelowna Curling Club, featuring 14 men’s and 14 women’s teams from Curling Canada’s Member Associations — the 10 provinces, three territories and Northern Ontario.
