Ramsay suffers first loss – to Kleibrink in extra end at AB Scotties (Journal)

ST. ALBERT, Alta. – The Geri-Lynn Ramsay-skipped rink suffered its first loss in heartbreaking fashion at the 2017 Alberta Scotties provincial women’s curling championship.

The Shannon Kleibrink foursome defeated Ramsay 8-7 in an extra end to win the A section final on Thursday night. Ramsay, a Summerside native, dropped to 3-1 (won-lost) in the triple-knockout format. Kleibrink is the lone undefeated rink at 3-0.

Ramsay will play Casey Scheidegger (2-1) on Friday at 5 p.m., Atlantic Time.
