ST. JOHN’S – It was a tough day for Adam Casey’s Saskatchewan rink at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier on Monday.
Seven Mile Bay native Adam Casey is skipping the Saskatchewan representative at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier in St. John’s, N.L.

Casey dropped a 10-5 decision to former teammate Brad Gushue (3-1) in evening action. In the afternoon draw, Quebec’s Jean-Michel Ménard (2-2) counted three in the fifth end to take a 6-2 advantage into the fifth-end break en route to an 8-3 win over Casey.
Tuesday, Casey plays New Brunswick’s Mike Kennedy (1-3) in the afternoon, and takes on Ontario’s Glenn Howard (1-3) in the evening.
