Ice preparation is well underway, under the direction of Chief Ice Technician Jon Wall and Deputy Chief Ice Techician Larry Richards, converting hockey ice to curling ice at the Credit Union Place in Summerside for the Road to the Roar Curling Trials, which begin on Monday. New at this year’s event are electronic scoreboards, such as we saw at the last Olympics. There will also be a video wall along the boards to display advertising.
