Adam Casey steals way to win at Road to the Roar (Journal Pioneer)

Prince Edward Islander will take 1-1 record into Wednesday night’s draw

SUMMERSIDE – The Adam Casey rink stole its way to victory in Wednesday morning’s early draw.

With the game tied 4-4 after seven ends, Casey and his Regina-based rink consisting of third stone Brock Montgomery, second stone Shaun Meachem and lead Dustin Kidby stole three in the eighth end and a single point in the ninth in an 8-4 win over Mark Bice of Sarnia, Ont.
Casey, a native of Seven Mile Bay, evened his record in the 2017 Home Hardware Road to the Roar Pre-Trials curling event at 1-1 (won-lost). Bice fell to 0-3.
Casey, who lost 9-5 to Jamie Murphy of Halifax on Tuesday, is back in action in Wednesday’s 8 p.m. draw against Colton Flasch (0-2).
