PEI’s Eddie MacKenzie rink has one win and two losses following opening weekend play at the Tim Hortons Brier in Regina. They lost their opener 12-7 to Manitoba, but rebounded in their second game with a 7-6 win against Quebec, but lost their third match 9-5 in eight ends to Brad Jacobs and his Northern Ontario team.
The Islanders play New Brunswick’s James Grattan, coached by PEI native Daryell Nowlan, at 4 in their lone Monday game. NB is also at 1-2. Manitoba and Northern Ontario lead the pool at 3-0.

Team Canada, which includes PEI’s Brett Gallant, is 2-0 in the other pool, following wins over BC and the Yukon, and play NWT and Team Wildcard today. Nova Scotia’s Jamie Murphy rink and Team Wildcard are also 2-0.
