Summerside native Erin Carmody headed back to national Scotties Tournament of Hearts (Journal)

Erin Carmody is headed back to the 2019 national Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The 30-year-old Summerside native is the third stone for the Jill Brothers-skipped rink, which defeated the Mary-Anne Arsenault team 6-5 on Sunday morning to win the Nova Scotia provincial women’s curling championship.

Carmody, who threw skip stones while Kathy O’Rourke called the game, was part of Team P.E.I. that finished runner-up to Jennifer Jones in the 2010 national Scotties.
