In the 1 pm Atlantic opening draw, Ferguson was trailing 5-1 after four ends with Ontario taking a triple with hammer in the first end, and grabbing a deuce in the 4th, while PEI scored a single in the third end. The teams traded deuces in five and six, with PEI taking a single in the seventh, but it was not enough, and the game ended with the final score of 7-4.
An Ontario steal of four points in the third end gave Ontario a 6-1 lead after four ends in their game against PEI’s Mitchell Schut rink. Ontario added a single in the sixth and stole a deuce in the seventh for a 9-1 win.

In the 8 pm Atlantic draw, Team Ferguson was trailing by one point with a 5-4 score going into the 7th end, where the Newfoundland and Labrador team stole 5 points to bring the game to handshakes with a 10-4 final score.
Team Schut, trailing 5-3 after 7, also lost a tough one to NL with a final score of 7-3 after NL stole a pair in the 8th. Nick Woznesensky was sparing in the game, as third Nick Johnston was sitting out with an injury.
The PEI teams have two games on Monday – at 1 pm against Manitoba and at 8 pm against Saskatchewan (Atlantic times). The 8 pm games will be live streamed at https://canadagames.live/curling
