Canada Games: PEI’s Ferguson rink picks up 1st win, while Schut has close game, both against Saskatchewan

The PEI curling teams had two very close games against Saskatchewan at the Canada Games in Red Deer this evening, with the Lauren Ferguson girls’ team picking up their 1st win of the event, by a 4-3 score to improve to 1-3 win-loss.

The Mitchell Schut boys’ team was looking good to steal their way to victory in the final end, but a Saskatchewan runback cleared the way for a draw with their final stone, to win 5-4 over PEI (0-4).

The PEI  teams play BC at 5 pm and Alberta at 10 pm on Tuesday. BC and Alberta are both 2-1 on the boys’ side, while BC is 0-3 and Alberta is 3-0 on the girls’.
