Icemaking underway at some PEI curling facilities

The ice is just about ready at the Cornwall Curling Club, with lines and circles in place, and the top coats with Jet Ice conditioned water now being applied.

Meanwhile, the base coats are on, and painted white at the Montague Curling Rink.

Icemaker Larry Richards from the Montague club also provided assistance with installing the lines and circles at Cornwall. Also at Cornwall, Brent Irving is learning the ice-making process from Lance Lowther, who is retiring, after making the ice there since the Club’s opening in 1982.
