The 8:30 am quarter-finals are just getting underway at the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John NB, and PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink is in them. Team Birt, who won the women’s event last year, are taking on the Chenyi Wang foursome from Beijing China. Other quarter-finalists are Sylvie (Robichaud) Quillian, who won the event in 2017, who is playing Tanya Hilliard, Justine Comeau, taking on Andrea Crawford, and Sarah Mallais, facing Korea’s Un-Chi Gim. Hilliard and Birt are both 4-0 after round-robin play.

PEI’s Veronica Smith rink finished play with one win and three losses. There are no PEI teams in the men’s event. The semis go at noon, with the finals at 3:30 pm.
