2020 Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Ch’ship Cancelled, PEI now planning to host the 2021 event

Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, including the possibility of a predicted “second wave”, the PEI organizing committee, co-chaired by Winston Bryan and Peter MacDonald, with the approval of the national executive, doosn’t feel comfortable hosting the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Hydrant Championship at this time and have decided to cancel the 2020 event, which had been rescheduled for November 6-15.

PEI is tentatively planning to host the 2021 Championship in the March/April timeframe. The Saskatchewan organizing committee, originally scheduled to host that event, has agreed to host in 2022. Details are still being worked out. The organizing committee thanks the players and fans for supporting this decision.
