It was a very close final game Sunday afternoon in the women’s division of The Curling Store Cashspiel at the Lakeshore Curling Club in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia, and it came down to a final shot in an extra end between PEI’s Team Suzanne Birt and the Christina Black foursome from Halifax. Birt had that final shot, and needed to execute an angle hit to take out the opposing shot stone, but the shot was a bit inside and Team Black won the game 5-4.

Team Black received a payout of $2100, while Team Birt received $1050.
The Travis Colter rink from Halifax beat the Chad Stevens team, also from Halifax, to take the men’s event.
