After season cancelled, future of Charlottetown Curling Club to be decided soon (Guardian)

A decision on the future of the Charlottetown Curling Club is expected to be made in about a month’s time.

The club did not open this season after the chiller in its 31-year-old ice plant broke down during start-up and couldn’t be repaired in time for the first rocks to be delivered.

Club president Tyler Harris said Wednesday a couple of its working groups are scheduled to have final meetings this week.

Following those sessions, a board meeting will be held, and a date set for a membership meeting.

Various options, including repairing the current club or seeing if it could be part of new facilities discussed for the Charlottetown area, have been explored.

The Charlottetown club is currently selling social memberships so people can take part and vote at the meeting.

The online registration process is on the club’s homepage at www.charlottetowncurlingclub.ca.
