Gorveatt rink goes undefeated again this year to win PEI Senior Men’s ch’ship

Just like last year, the Philip Gorveatt rink, curling this year out of the Montague Curling Club, swept their way to victory, going undefeated to win the PEI Senior Men’s Curling Championship, for curlers age 50 and over, at the Silver Fox Curling Club in Summerside. This is Gorveatt’s fourth Seniors title in five years. They defeated the John Likely foursome, curling out of the Cornwall Curling Club this year, in all three modified triple knockout section finals, winning 9-3, 6-4, and 8-1, and making the Sunday championship round unnecessary. Seven teams took part in the competition. The Gorveatt rink will advance to the Canadian Seniors, expected to be in December at a venue yet to be announced.
