Team Gushue, with PEI’s Brett Gallant, went undefeated at 6-0 to sweep the men’s event, beating Team Glenn Howard 6-1 in the final.

Team Jason Gunnlaugson with PEI’s Adam Casey went 3-1 in the preliminary round, losing only to Gushue, by a 7-4 score, but lost 6-5 to 2020 event winner John Epping in the quarter-finals.
Team MacKenzie Zacharias (4-3), which includes PEI’s Lauren Lenentine, beat Team Kerry Galusha 4-3 in the women’s quarters but lost 7-1 to event winner Hollie Duncan of Woodstock Ont. in the semis. Team Duncan went on to beat Shannon Jay of St. Thomas Ont. 8-2 in the final.
Earlier, Zacharias lost to Team Isabelle Ladouceur (2-3), which includes PEI’s Katie Shaw, but picked up a 7-6 extra end win over Team Kim from Korea (2-3), which is frequently coached by Islander Peter Gallant.
