Robbie Doherty, Samantha Crook teams advance to semis as Sunday playoffs set at Island Petroleum Cashspiel

It’s playoff Sunday at the 15-team Island Petroleum Cashspiel at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex in Summerside, with Cornwall’s Robbie Doherty team and the Samantha Crook rink out of the Gage Curling Club in New Brunswick advancing directly to the 11:30 am semi-finals, while Summerside’s Jamie Newson and Blair Jay teams square off in one 8:30 am quarter-final, with the winner taking on Doherty, while Veronica and Tyler Smith play in the other, with the victor facing Crook.
