Following a weekend of highs and lows for fans and athletes alike, Sunday brought with it not only unseasonably warm weather, but also the conclusion to the 2023 Canada Games Curling Trials for PEI.

In game 2 of the women’s division between Team Easter and Team Lenentine, we saw Easter jump out to a 1-0 lead in the first end. Unfortunately for Easter, other than a final push in the 6th end for 2 points today’s game was all Team Lenentine. The rink from Cornwall scored points in 4 straight ends taking the game, and best of 3 series, with a final score of 7-3.

In the men’s division, it was Team Snow’s day from the first stone thrown.  Team Snow took early lead that they never looked back from. Snow’s team scored in the first 3 ends to go up 3-0 and the last 3 ends to lock up a 7-1 victory for the series win.

Both Team Lenentine and Team Snow will represent PEI at the 2023 Canada Games taking place on home soil here on the island, and back at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex in February.
