AUS Subway Atlantic University Sport Curling Championships

There are no UPEI teams entered in the 2020 Subway Atlantic University Sport Curling Championships which start Thursday and wrap up on Sunday Feb. 9, hosted by Saint Mary’s University at the CFB Halifax Curling Club, but there are a number of Island curlers on the men’s side, with Colin MacKenzie playing lead on the Saint Mary’s men’s squad, and Alex Gallant and Parker MacFadyen both members of the UNB team.

The men’s and women’s first and second place teams will advance to the 2020 U SPORTS/Curling Canada Curling Championships, held in conjunction with the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada Championships, the Canadian Senior Men’s and Women’s Championships, and the Canad Inns Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships, between March 13 and March 22 in  Portage la Prairie, Man.

The two varsity events will run March 13-17; the Canadian Seniors will be played March 17-22 and the Canad Inns Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship will be staged March 18-22.
