Team Veronica Smith set for Canadian Mixed in Yarmouth
The 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championships take place November 13-19 at the Mariners Centre in Yarmouth Nova Scotia. The Cornwall and Crapaud team of skip Veronica Smith, third Tyler Smith, second Sabrina Smith, and lead Dylan Lowery, who won the PEI Mixed in February, are the Island representatives. Cornwall’s Veronica and Sabrina are sisters, while the 3rd Smith on the team, Tyler, is not related. Tyler’s father, Kevin, is the coach.

The team is both young and experienced, with 55 years of total curling experience between them, including considerable national championship experience:

- · CIS-Curling Canada Canadian University Championships
- · Canadian Junior Men’s Championship
- · Canada Winter Games
- · Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship
It will be the first time Yarmouth has hosted a Curling Canada championship, and it will be the the third time the Canadian Mixed has been staged in Nova Scotia, with both previous times at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax.
