The curling season is coming to an end, but with the PEI Government Circuit Breakers, a number of Island curling clubs have decided to stay open a little longer than normal, which is providing Curl PEI with time to host another development opportunity, a 2023 Canada Games Doubles Identification event, on Saturday, April 10 at the Montague Curling Club, beginning in the early afternoon (actual time will depend on the number of entries). The 2023 Canada Winter Games will be hosted here on Prince Edward Island from February 18 to March 5 2023.
The Identification Event will be open to all age-eligible (see below) doubles teams (teams do not have to be mixed for this event, however, the 2023 Canada Games event WILL be mixed.). Teams will get to play 1-2 games each, depending on the number of entries (planning for two but if there are a lot of teams it will be reduced to one). Entry fee will be $20/team.
