The recording of the history of the Charlottetown Curling Club is part of a project initiated by Jerry Muzika through the PEI Curling Association with the view to preserving the curling heritage of Prince Edward Island. Minutes from the associations and some of the curling clubs have been reviewed and excerpts taken and compiled chronologically. Some anecdotal accounts have also been included for their historical interest.
Thank you - to all who have cooperated and participated in this project. Especially to Debbie Carragher and Janet Doiron at Sport PEI, and Kaye MacFadyen and all those who located minutes and entrusted them to me as I carried out my review. Any errors and/or omissions are unintentional and corrections should be passed on to me at this web site. - Jerry Muzika

PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Our first major project in the fall was “Return to Yesteryear”, our fashion show so capably and successfully convened by Donna McFadden and Janet McMonagle. We thank you, your committees, and models for the time and effort devoted to this project, – and, of course, for a nice Net Profit of $1,416.19.
With the reincorporation of the Curling Club in 1978, and the subsequent new club by-laws, our constitution and by-laws are being revised and relate directly to those of the club.
It would appear from some of the photos sent to us for our scrap book, that all who attended the 25th Anniversary of the PEI Ladies Curling Club Association in Summerside, had a good time. I would like to thank Ginny Kays for sending us some memorable photos for our book.

The Scott Tournament of Hearts 1984 National Committee provided a $1,000 scholarship from their balance of funds which was won by Charlottetown Club’s Tammy Cudmore.
