FINALS SET FOR PEPSI PROVINCIAL JUNIORS
Tremendously exciting games were witnessed by the many spectators and family watching the semi final matches Sunday evening.
With the Junior women going into an extra end, both teams, Sharkey and Aylward, played shot for shot. Though the Aylward team was exceptional, the Danielle Sharkey team was flawless in the last few ends to steal the victory.
The junior mens match between the Gallant and van Ouwerkerk teams was also a thriller, with the only lapse being in the 7th end when the Brett Gallant team connected for a 4 ender. The Nick van Ouwerkerk team fought back but were run out of stones in the 10th end.
With the finals going tomorrow at 1 pm, the match ups are club mates Charlottetown Cornwall Meaghan Hughes team against the Cornwall Danielle Sharkey crew; while it is the Charlottetown Brett Gallant meeting the Charlottetown Cornwall Steve Howard team.
Finals start at 1 pm, as both the Hughes and Howard rinks have yet to be defeated, they could have a second draw at 6 pm.
