Pepsi Juniors awards

Following the completion of the Pepsi Junior Provincial Curling Championships earlier this week at the Montague Curling Club,  the annual coaching and Fairplay awards were given out.

Peter Pidgeon, coach of the winning men’s team, the  Spencer Pitre rink from the Charlottetown Curling Club, was the recipient of the Asham Coaching Award, voted on by all the coaches, for the junior men’s division, while Carolyn MacPhee, coach of the Carolyn Rose team from the  Montague Curling Club was the winning coach for the junior women’s division.

Also given out were the “Fairplay” sportsmanship awards, as voted on by the curlers.  The junior men’s award recipient was Cody Dixon, who skipped a rink from the host club, while the junior women’s award went to Chloe McCloskey, lead on the Veronica Smith team from the Cornwall Curling Club.
